Emotional Health Support for Working Parents
I partner with organizations to provide EFT Tapping sessions that support the emotional health and wellbeing of working parents.
Through group and individual sessions, employees learn a practical tool for working with stress, overwhelm and the emotions that come with navigating work and parenthood.
Why EFT Tapping?
EFT Tapping is a mind-body technique that combines gentle tapping on acupressure points with focusing on emotions, thoughts or experiences creating distress.
Research has found EFT Tapping can reduce self-reported psychological distress and has also been associated with reductions in physiological markers of stress, including cortisol.
Tapping can support parents when they're experiencing:
Guilt about being away from their children or prioritizing work
Stress from constantly shifting between the demands of work and home
Overstimulation and feeling like their capacity is maxed out
Frustration, irritability or emotional exhaustion
Pressure to perform when they don't feel like they have the same capacity they once did
Anxiety and worry about their children while they're at work
Difficulty concentrating because of everything they're mentally carrying
Burnout from continually taking care of everyone else's needs
Guilt or shame about needing help
The pressure to be a good parent, partner and employee at the same time
Once learned, tapping becomes a tool employees can continue using on their own when stress and difficult emotions arise.

Client Testimonial
“I work in a high pressure, very visible role within the higher education industry. I am responsible for a large team, lead both strategic and operational efforts, and advise one of the senior-most leaders at the institution. The work is stressful, requires long hours, and there is a lot of anxiety and pressure. The EFT Tapping work that I've done with Sarah has supported me mentally, physically, at home, in all of my relationships, and of course at work. Despite it being demanding, I love my career, and EFT has become an important tool that helps me to show up for myself and my team in pursuit of our shared goals and mission. EFT has enabled me to become more aware of my thoughts (especially the unhelpful ones!) and the physical sensations in my body. It's encouraged me to dig deep and ask myself why I might be thinking or feeling a certain way and gives me the tools I need to work through the situation, respond appropriately, and discover more about myself and my default reactions in the process. I would highly recommend EFT tapping for anyone in a leadership position. It's often said that leaders "bring the weather" and I believe that we owe it to the people who depend on us to do the best we can in leading them to achieve their goals within a supportive and positive environment. EFT Tapping is the best method I've found to support me in doing my best and bringing the right kind of weather into the office.”
— Kim C. / Chief of Staff to President (Higher Education)Why this Work Matters to Me
I was fortunate to have five months of maternity leave after having my son. When I returned to work, I quickly realized I didn't have the same mental and emotional energy to pour into my career that I had before becoming a mother.
I struggled with anxiety, depression and the identity shift of trying to understand who I was as a mother while still trying to show up as the employee I had always been.
Eventually, I reached a point where I wasn't sleeping, was struggling to take care of myself and felt like I had very little capacity beyond taking care of my son. I carried a lot of shame around how much I was struggling and ultimately took a period of medical leave.
During that time, I found EFT Tapping. It became an important part of supporting my emotional health and ultimately changed the direction of my life and the work I do today.
I know how difficult it can be to separate work from life when you're a parent. That's why I want more parents to have access to emotional health support and practical tools for navigating the emotions, pressures and transitions that come with parenthood.
